Bangkok trip was so demanding on the legs... Because there was so much shopping to do!!!
Well, last sunday at around this time, at around 10.50 there, we were at chuptuchup weekend market - the market of all markets. Yea, its like a jumbo local night market except that it spans over a huge area, sells almost EVERYTHING and it lasts from 10am till 6pm. When i said almost EVERYTHING, i mean it because you can find home decors, clothes, food, plants and even animals such as small croc/aligators. But then the animals in the cages look real kelian coz the cage is seriously quite pathetic. There was so much to shop there till my sis bought this huge auntie bag, those u see in HK street carried by those streets sellers. But its damn pekcek carrying it around because the routes are so small and the bag is so BIG. >.<
Alright, wasnt really much sightseeing to be done there. Except last day when we decide to head down to wat po to visit the temple. However, this guy claims that it was budha day and that temple will only open at 12pm, advising us to take a tu-tu around to visit other temple first. So we heed his advice, taking 2 tu-tu for like only less than 2 sing dollars. Headed to some temple, to some export centre followed by the 2nd last stop at this high up temple. So took us quite a while to climb up and down. When we reach down, the tu-tus had disappeared! And we somehow panicked because we havent paid them yet. In the rush for time and that some guy said the tu-tus had left, we hailed another cab and left for our hotel. =D Free experience and tu-tu. How cool is that? But i guess it was prolly a scam? And that their main objective is to bring us to the export centre (they keep persuading us to go there in exchange for gas coupons). Maybe the centre gives them commision that is much higher than our fare?
Anw, stuff there are damn damn cheap. Love the adidas 50% discount off if you buy sth cheaper followed by sth expensive. Bought lotsa stuff from there. =D No more shopping till then. But i still need a pair of sneakers to substitute my barely surviving adidas one.
Last day, reached airport at 3 plus when flight is at 7.45. Was there earlier for VAT refund. After that, due to some technical error at sg side, flight was delayed 5 LONG HOURS. Wootzzz... Horrible experience cause my mum was pretty emo over that. Interestingly, theres more jap restaurants in the airport than thai one (which was only one). And we spent most on jap dinner rather than thai one. =/
Was so damn slpy by the time i boarded the plane which is at sg time 145 till i slept my ass off throughout the flight, even through the 15min supposingly bad air turbulence. DAMN, i wanted to experience that.
Japan would be a nice destination for the next trip. [CNY!!!]
